Located in the federal state of Thuringia, the city of Weimar is the town which award her name to the first parliamentary republic on German ground. A big part of the Weimar places of interest belongs to the world cultural heritage of UNESCO. As of Schiller and Goethe both used to live in Weimar, you can take a look at the “Schiller house” and Goethe’s garden house. In front of the theatre, you can visit the Schiller/Goethe monument. Also a great reminding of Schiller is the famous Schiller museum – definitely worth a visit! A huge number of small shops coins the townscape along the “Schillerstrasse” and in the streets all around the center of Weimar. Above all souvenir shops, several small galleries and also many restaurants or cafes belong to the townscape.
